While this is nice, you also have to go out and get the gasoline for it meaning it's an extra errand that you have to run. The other downside is the smells that are associated with this. Compared to the other two it literally stinks. It is also much nosier than the other two.
The battery powered trimmer does offer quite a few advantages. It's very light weight. It can be charged at home without making any extra trips. You can use electricity but don't have to have a cord. The downside is that once the battery is out, you have to stop working. There is no option to continue going until you have a charge. Also the batteries are going to need to be replaced as they will end up getting old and not holding charge anymore.
Depending on your needs one might be better than the others. For many people with smaller yard, the battery powered ones are the best option. If you need to use the device for hours, the other two will have to be considered.
